![]() It's like, a show that's known for having NOTHING as an impossibility, suddenly fans are saying, "that's not possible." …I lost touch with the show for years until Tennet and BBC America. That's why I've been so surprised when some fans took it so seriously and some got so offended when Jodi became the doctor. But it never tried to be anything but that. It always had the lamest and least scary villains that, frankly, were such low budget comedy and totally just strange make-believe. It was fearless and not afraid to be creative and there was nothing else like it. I watched when I could and loved the show for its deliciously bizarre weirdness :) I was no die hard Whovian but I liked it for a long time. Growing up in the US in the 70s and 80s, Doctor Who (and other British shows) only aired on PBS (Public Broadcasting Corporation, a partially federally subsidized TV station).
